Sometimes, love, why do we fear?

Why does love make us, shed a tear?

Is love meant to give us, joy or pain?

By giving pain, what does love gain?

Does pain, in love, ever go in vain?

Or, does it make us, wise again?

Does pain in love make us fear love?

Should we allow it? Think for a moment, now!

Does love kill a life, or save?

Is one lost in love, a coward or brave?

Can love kill one, who is dead?

Once lost in love, to love again, why do you dread?

Love is a saviour, but also a killer,

In love, pain acts as the real pillar!

Thought provoking poem with rhetorical questions
If there is so much negativity in love, how is it a pillar?
And the last couplet didnt exactly answer the questions you posed

Yes Mohan, what the above commenter said is true. The poem ends on an antithetical note…u seem to be talking of pain and death et al., and abruptly turn about and call the pain the ‘pillar’ of love. A few more lines in between the first and the last parts, explaining the transition, would do good.
Nevertheless, the concept of pain being the pillar is very novel; it keeps you going, when ‘ditched’, right? Atleast, i mean, instead of committing suicide, you drink to your ‘lost’ love, if at all there was any…

Perhaps, its a Great Piece of writing for those who are in Love, and indeed time spending. I think you should have explored positive aspects of love, along with some negatives, and named it as “Pillar of love.”
