The Apoplexy

31 Dec

by P. Mohan Chandran

Amidst trauma, all alone do I stand,
Waiting for someone, to offer a helping hand.
All my senses have ceased to function,
Leading me towards the ultimate junction (death).
I’ve lost the power to think,
When thrown in water, I don’t swim, but sink.
I’ve lost the ability to feel,
And have reached the end of life’s zeal.
Life ahead, looks fraught with gloom,
Happiness nipped in the bud, before it could bloom.
The road ahead, seems very hard to travel,
With every inch, throwing a ravel.
The pace of my breath has permanently slowed down,
The smile has vanished, leaving me only with a frown.
